ATHENS, Ga. (June 30, 2022) –Landmark Properties, a fully-integrated real estate firm specializing in development, construction, investment management, and operation of high-quality residential communities, is expanding its student housing portfolio in Arkansas. Construction began this week on The Retreat at Fayetteville, a 585-bedroom community adjacent to the University of Arkansas (U of A).
“We are excited to be able to bring our Retreat brand of student cottages to Fayetteville,” said Wes Rogers, president and CEO of Landmark Properties. “The Retreat at Fayetteville will offer Arkansas students a spacious housing option with top-of-market amenities, steps from U of A campus.”
Located at 1030 South Razorback Road, The Retreat will offer several distinct floorplans ranging from two- to five-bedrooms. The design of these large units and the privacy these layouts offer will stand out to potential residents when weighing options among comparable properties.
Each apartment features a gourmet-style kitchen with plentiful cabinet space, quartz counter tops and stainless appliances. Each unit at The Retreat is fully furnished, offers hardwood style flooring and includes technology related amenities in the common area and high-speed internet and cable.
Additionally, residents will enjoy ample greenspaces throughout the community that include a putting green and an area for bocce ball. Students can access the 24-hour study lounge, computer lab and fitness center. The resort-style outdoor amenity spaces add additional opportunities for recreation and socialization with a fire pit, grilling area, large pool and hot tub, among other amenities. In addition to the fully programmed amenity package, The Retreat will also include approximately 1,000-square-feet of retail fronting Razorback Road. For residents with vehicles, a parking deck offers ample parking, along with surface and on-street options in addition to integrated garages in select units.
Construction on The Retreat is expected to be complete ahead of the fall 2023 semester. The community’s proximity to campus attractions and its location along the U of A bus route and the Tsa La Gi Trail will provide quick and convenient options for students commuting to and from campus. Residents will also be a short walk from Baum-Walker stadium, home to the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team, as well as many popular restaurants including Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, and Raising Cane’s.
U of A is a public, coeducational land-grant research university with its main campus located in Fayetteville, and its class of 2025 is confirmed to be the largest ever.
