Jason joined Landmark Properties in 2010 and is responsible for identifying development opportunities throughout the US in university markets. In this role, Jason is responsible for structuring acquisitions, overseeing the entitlement process, design and engineering of new developments, as well as working with Landmark’s debt and equity partners to secure appropriate capital for development opportunities. Landmark’s development pipeline is currently the largest of any student housing real estate developer in the US. Before joining Landmark, Jason was the Director of Finance for Place Properties. Prior to entering the student housing sector, Jason worked in the real estate finance sector as an Investment Officer at Merrill Lynch Capital and began his career as a Credit Analyst at Regions Bank.

Jason obtained his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia in 2000. He Serves on the board of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and is an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Athens. Jason and his wife, Andrea, live in Athens with their three daughters.

Art brings 20 years of experience in real estate development, design and construction. Prior to joining Landmark in early 2018, he held various roles with Onward Investors, Oppidan Investment Company, Target Property Development and Construction, and the Opus Group.

Art studied Civil Engineering at Iowa State University. He and his wife, Laura, live in Athens, GA and have three children: Leah, John, and Evan

Andrew joined Landmark Properties in 2015 and his responsibilities include identifying suitable investment opportunities, underwriting key markets, working with land sellers, overseeing design development, managing financial underwriting, securing capital from debt and equity partners, managing entitlements and closing.

Prior to joining Landmark, Andrew worked for North American Properties on the acquisition and finance team and then the multifamily development team. During his tenure at North American Properties, Andrew was involved in all aspects of the investment cycle from site identification to disposition across retail, multifamily, and mixed use product types.

Andrew is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and obtained his B.B.A. in Real Estate from the University of Georgia. He lives in Athens with his wife Theresa and their children Ford, Margaux, and Nell.

Eric joined Landmark Properties in 2018 and is now a Senior Director on the Student Housing team. His primary responsibilities include identifying and underwriting development opportunities, overseeing the design and entitlement process, working with the capital markets team and ensuring successful delivery of new developments.

Prior to joining Landmark, Eric worked for Anthony Property Group in Raleigh, NC on acquisitions and development of conventional multifamily and light-industrial properties. Eric also has experience in the student housing sectorwith Corvias Campus Living.

Eric attended North Carolina State University graduating with a B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Business Administration. He has an M.B.A. from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School with concentrations in Real Estate and Finance. Helives in Athens, GA with his wife and daughter.

Chase joined Landmark Properties in 2021 and is a Senior Director on the Student Housing team. He is responsible for executing all functions of development with a focus on planning, entitlement, identifying and underwriting development opportunities, design, capitalization efforts, and overall management of the development process from inception to stabilization. Since joining Landmark, Chase has overseen the development of over $1.5 Billion in total development costs.

Prior to joining Landmark, Chase led the student housing efforts of Haven Communities where he served as Vice President of Development. Chase has held various development positions at MidCity Real Estate Partners, Portman Holdings, and Legacy Ventures, where he worked on projects in multiple asset classes ranging from boutique office developments to large mixed-use, public private partnerships.

Chase attended Saint Joseph’s University graduating with a B.S in Political Science and Business Administration. He also holds a Master of Real Estate Development from Georgia Tech. Chase lives in Athens, GA with his wife Lauren and their three children.

Aaron joined Landmark as a Development Manager in 2018 and is now a Senior Director in our Student Housing group. His responsibilities include management of multiple developers, site sourcing, underwriting new opportunities, overseeing design development, securing equity and debt capital, and managing entitlements and closing. He has successfully closed on more than $2 billion in development opportunities across the country since joining Landmark.

Aaron previously worked for National Real Estate Development, the development arm of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers pension fund. During his time at National he worked on their “East Market” project, a $600 million 4-acre mixed use development in Center City, Philadelphia. Additionally, Aaron was also involved in the development and lease-up of “the Bloc”, a $500 million mixed use development in downtown Los Angeles, CA. Aaron has also previously held positions as Director of Capital Markets at The Carlton Group in New York, and as a Director of a $4.2 billion mezzanine debt fund with the Blackstone Group in New York.

Aaron earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Drexel University.

Jared joined Landmark in 2016 as an intern and has spent his entire career working for Landmark. As a Director of development analytics, his primary responsibilities include identifying and underwriting investment opportunities, managing the development process, securing equity and debt financing and ensuring timely closing, delivery, and stabilization. Operationally, he serves as a facilitator for Landmark’s continued growth by encouraging greater cross-departmental collaboration across the vertically integrated platform, ensuring consistency through best practices, and managing the development recruiting and training program.

Jared graduated from the University of Georgia in 2017 with a BBA in finance and economics, summa cum laude. After spending his childhood, collegiate, and early professional years around Athens, he currently resides in Atlanta with his wife, Abbey.

Mark served as the Managing Director of Investments with Inland America’s student housing affiliate and delivered 4,400+ beds ranging from wrap wood frame projects to a 20-story mixed-use urban development. Prior to that, Mark spent 11 years in the extended-stay hotel business and developed 22 projects in markets across the Southeast for an affiliate of Security Capital Group. Mark earned his MBA at Emory University, and his BS in Mathematics & Economics from Wake Forest University.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys running, playing golf, and spending time with his wife & two sons.

Jim joined Landmark Properties in 2022 to focus on development opportunities in the student housing sector. He manages the full development lifecycle, from site selection and securing project entitlements to project delivery.

He began his career in investment banking at William Blair & Company, advising technology companies on M&A and equity capital markets transactions. Later, he served as Chief of Staff to the CEO at SMS Assist.

Jim holds an M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.B.A. in Finance with Honors from the University of Georgia.

Alexis joined Landmark in 2023 and manages build-to-rent (BTR) development in key markets in Texas, Georgia and North Carolina.

Prior to joining Landmark, Alexis managed the development of multifamily and BTR developments in the Southeast, totaling over $400 million in pipeline, developed clinic sites for the US Department of Veterans Affairs, enforced real estate license law for the State of Illinois, and managed a residential real estate brokerage in Atlanta, GA. She holds an inactive law license with the Illinois State Bar.

Alexis obtained her J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. She lives in Tucker, GA with her husband, Ben, and their two children.

Prior to joining the Landmark Team in 2015, Kyle served as Manager of Construction and Development at Ventas, Inc. where he led project management efforts on over $750 million in capital expenditures, development, and redevelopment projects. Additionally, Kyle completed over $300 million in high-rise, multi-family residential construction in Chicago while serving in various roles for Lend Lease, Inc.

During his career, Kyle has managed a number of facets of the development and construction lifecycle including underwriting, preconstruction, project management, procurement, scheduling, quality control, safety, project closeout, and asset management.

A 2007 graduate of Northwestern University where he played on the Varsity Men’s Soccer team, Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Kyle also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Kyle is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois and a LEED AP BD&C Accredited Professional.

During his free time, Kyle enjoys golf, soccer, outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife, Georgia Anne, and their five children.

Prior to joining Landmark, Jason Murray was the General Manager for Stephens MDS/Stephens Industries in College Park. Stephens is a Construction Aggregate Producer and Recycling Facility serving the Downtown Atlanta/South Metro markets. Before taking the position at Stephens, Jason owned a construction business, performing as a subcontractor in the Heavy Civil/Foundation Improvement markets in the public and private sectors.

Jason is a graduate of Auburn University, where he received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.

Outside of work, he enjoys being outdoors, especially offshore fishing. He and his wife, Sandy, have two sons and live in Monroe, GA.

Donna Hagerott joined Landmark Construction in 2015. Prior to joining Landmark Properties, she was Director of Preconstruction with Mill Creek Residential. Donna brings over 25-years of experience in multifamily residential development to the Landmark team. Her experience includes 10-years as a Project Architect responsible for all phases of design and construction credentials. Additionally, as a developer for 4-years, she was responsible for land acquisition and entitlements; with additional years in the construction division, managing their project professionals, permitting, and execution of construction documents.

Donna earned her Bachelor of Architecture at New York Institute of Technology. She is a LEED Accredited Professional. She has served on the Board of Directors for the USGBC South Florida Chapter, also was a regular volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Broward and serving on Habitat’s construction committee. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family.

Chad joined Landmark Properties in 2018 as an accomplished professional with over three decades of experience in commercial construction management in Student Housing, Industrial, Healthcare, Education K-12, Residential/Hotel, and Public Assembly, including Design-Build construction and development.

Chad believes in a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

During his free time, Chad enjoys traveling with his wife Ellie, beaches, spending time with his daughters, Cayley, Chandler, Carson, and grandchildren Crew, Cleo, and Blake, playing golf, and any outdoor activities.

Jenell joined Landmark in 2023 as Vice President of Construction Operations where she will be responsible for bringing consistency across the projects while working directly with the teams to minimize risk. She brings with her over 15 years of experience in the building and construction industry, having been involved—preconstruction to closeout—in over 4,000,000 square feet of multifamily and hospitality projects across the U.S.

Prior to joining Landmark, Jenell was a Senior Director at AECOM Hunt and spent over 13 years with Lendlease. She has led overall project operations on an extensive portfolio of projects, where she ensured time and budget commitments to clients were achieved through coordination and day-to-day management of trades, cost control, and schedule management. Project highlights include 1333 and 1345 S Wabash (Chicago, IL), The Cooper Apartments (Chicago, IL), The NFL Hall of Fame Development (Canton, OH), Palomar Hotel and Residences (Chicago, IL), and Greenfields of Geneva (Chicago, IL).

Jenell attributes her success to open and transparent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and asking the hard questions. She encourages diversity of thought to innovate and evolve, preventing operational flows from becoming antiquated.

Jenell graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Bradley University. Career achievements include being honored as a 2023 ENR Midwest Top Young Pro. She believes in giving back to the communities in which she works and has volunteered her time to City of Hope, Girls in the Game, and the Bradley CEC Advisory Board.

She resides in the Chicagoland area with her husband, Paul, their two children, Greyson and Madelyn, and their dog, Franklin. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, live music, and watching her kids play sports.

Ruthann Ellis is a 28-year construction professional specializing in developing skilled trade workers, superintendents, and project managers. Ruthann holds a degree in Adult Education but is also a master plumber and former owner of a plumbing and mechanical contracting business specializing in institutional work.

Her career in construction started as an anchor tenant build-out Project Manager for a national shopping center REIT. Ruthann has a passion for developing construction professionals and ensuring safe work practices and has authored and delivered over 100 training programs. Ruthann is a Birkman certified consultant, holds multiple safety-related certifications, and is a Lean Project Delivery trainer.

Prior to joining the Landmark Team in 2019, Brian spent the majority of his career with Turner Construction Company in the project management capacity. During this time, he was involved on many types of commercial construction projects including correction facilities, schools, office buildings and hospitals. Brian was responsible for overall project success including buyout, budget, schedule, safety, QC and closeout.

Brian is a 1994 graduate of Georgia Southern University where he holds a B.S. in Building Construction.

Brian is a Legacy LEED AP Professional.

He and his wife, Mary have four (4) adult children Brandon, Jay, Jordan and Cole. During his free time, Brian enjoys being outdoors, playing pickleball, riding ATV’s, enjoying the pool and travel.

Brett grew up in Southern California and graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Construction Management. Prior to joining the Landmark team, Brett served as Project Executive at The Hanover Company, where he led the design and construction process of many luxury multi-family developments in California.

Brett currently lives in Newport Beach, CA with his wife, Carrera, and two sons, Ari & Julian. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching/coaching the kids sports, golfing, fishing, going to the beach, and working on the house.

Joel Peterson brings over 17 years of construction experience to Landmark Properties, specifically within fully integrated property development organizations. The majority of his career has been spent working on national commercial construction projects, where he has gained experience with office, recreation, retail, residential, and media construction projects.

Joel graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He currently lives in Deephaven, MN, and oversees Landmark’s Minneapolis’ office location.

Joel and his wife, Nichole, have 3 children – Lola, Mia and Jack. During his free time, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, gathering with friends, traveling both locally and globally, refining his bbq skills, and staying busy with home remodel projects.

Doug joined the Landmark team in 2020 as Director of 3rd Party Construction Management, and currently resides in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. Doug previously served as Program Director on a $1.2 billion K-12 Bond Program and a $470 million K-12 Bond Program in the Dallas, Texas, metro area.

Doug has over 30 years of experience in overseeing and managing large-scale Telecommunication, Environmental, Education, and Government construction projects.

He and his wife, Janene, are currently the proud grandparents of Kaylee and Hannah and the proud parents of Amanda, Michelle, and Kristin. In his spare time, Doug enjoys golfing, reading, hiking, and all Texas Tech-related athletics, as well as attending the NCAA Basketball tournament each March

Heath joined Landmark Construction in 2007 as a Lead Superintendent before taking on the position as Lead Project Manager for the Cottage Division. He would later serve as a Senior Project Manager for the Urban Division and now resides as the Director of Preconstruction.

Heath obtained his BBA in Business Management from UGA in 2004. Prior to joining Landmark, Heath built high-end residential homes in Athens, GA.

Heath resides in Athens with his wife Sara, two kids, and two dogs. Outside of work he enjoys cooking, playing golf poorly, and spending time with his family

Giovanna Shimmin has over 12 years of experience in Design. She joined Landmark Construction in 2015, accepting the role of Project Manager. In 2019, she was promoted to Senior Design Manager, and is now in her current role as Executive Design Manager.

Prior to working at Landmark, Giovanna was Assistant Project Manager at Corwil Architects in Coral Gables, FL, primarily assisting in multifamily residential development. Giovanna earned her Master of Architecture at University of Miami.

In her free time, Giovanna enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with her husband and their three kids.

With over 38 years of experience in the construction industry, Jim has been involved in the entire construction process from conception to completion. He has managed large midrise, high rise, high end residential, hospitality and student housing projects ensuring client satisfaction. In addition to mentoring and cultivating talent, Jim plays a significant role in maintaining and consistently improving both quality and safety programs.

In his spare time, Jim enjoys classic muscle cars, golfing and traveling.

Greg joined Landmark Properties in 2019 and has over 30 years of experience managing large Commercial, Residential and Industrial construction projects in the NY/NJ/PA Markets including Highrise and Midrise, Pharmaceutical R & D, Sr. Living CCRC’s, Airport Facilities, Hospitals, Hospitality and Newspaper Printing Plants.

Greg graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and has a strong commitment to managing Teams to success, solving problems and mentoring teammates.

Greg enjoys traveling with his wife Valerie, quality time with his 3 children and 6 grandchildren, playing and watching sports, swimming and outdoor activities.

Walt joined Landmark in 2014 as Head of Portfolio Management. His responsibilities include forming and implementing portfolio strategies, overseeing asset management and acquisition activities as well as developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors.

Prior to joining Landmark, Walt was a Senior Vice President at Blue Vista Capital Management, LLC, an investment management firm based in Chicago, IL that invests in all real property types across the U.S. During his more than 8 years with Blue Vista, Walt was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring and closing transactions for Blue Vista’s various funds. He was involved in over $1 billion of student housing related transactions while helping expand Blue Vista’s relationships with lenders and investors in the sector. Walt started his career as a corporate and investment banking analyst at Bank of America Securities, LLC.

Walt received a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University where he majored in Industrial Engineering and Economics.

Porter joined Landmark in 2018 as Vice President. His primary responsibilities include executing on debt and equity financing activities, managing portfolio capital transactions, and developing and maintaining relationships with lenders and investors.

Prior to joining Landmark, Porter was a Vice President at CBRE Capital markets where he was focused on debt and equity assignments for institutional clients. Before CBRE, Porter as an Associate at Jamestown, LP where he was primarily focused on asset management.

Porter received a BS from Vanderbilt University.

JD joined Landmark in 2019 as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions. His responsibilities include leading Landmark’s acquisition efforts in university markets throughout the US. JD’s responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating acquisition opportunities, structuring joint ventures and closing on investments for the firm.

Prior to joining Landmark, Mr. Goering was Vice President with Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, a real estate investment management firm based in Chicago. During his time at Harrison Street Mr. Goering worked on acquiring and forming joint venture relationships within the student housing sector including the $2B take private of a student housing REIT. Prior to joining Harrison Street in 2015, JD worked at Blue Vista Capital Management, LLC from 2007 to 2014 where he worked on deploying capital into student housing acquisitions and developments.

Mr. Goering graduated with a B.A. from Miami University in 2003 and currently lives in Chicago with his wife and 3 children.

Justin joined Landmark in 2022 as Managing Director. His primary responsibilities include overseeing investment management efforts for Landmark’s single family build-to-rent platform, structuring and executing joint ventures for student housing acquisitions, and developing and maintaining relationships with equity investors.

Prior to joining Landmark, Justin was Senior Investment Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, based in Abu Dhabi, where he managed a portfolio of real estate investments across multiple property types and geographies totaling approximately $10 billion of equity. Before ADIA, Justin was with PGIM.

Justin received his M.B.A. from Yale University and a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University. Justin lives in New York City.

Max joined Landmark in 2024 as a Managing Director. His primary responsibilities include developing and managing relationships with Landmark’s current and prospective investors. He also oversees the development of new investment vehicles to support Landmark’s investment strategies and equity capital needs. Prior to joining Landmark, he served as Principal, Head of GP Advisory Services at Hodes Weill & Associates in New York, where during his tenure he advised clients on more than $6 billion of capital raised and led the firm’s advisory practice focused on structured and bespoke capital raising initiatives and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to that, Max served in an investment role at Harvey Partners, LLC.

Max holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. He is also an Associate Board Member of PlayRugbyUSA.

Sean Morris is the Head of Private Wealth at Landmark Properties, leading the firm’s growth and distribution of investment solutions within wealth management channels. With more than 30 years of experience in business development, he is responsible for expanding Landmark’s strategic relationships as well as launching innovative solutions for family offices, high net worth investors, and their advisors.  Previously, Sean served as an Executive Director at PGIM, where during his tenure he helped launch and raise capital for various real estate, digital infrastructure, and private credit funds through all financial intermediary channels.  Prior to that, he was the National Sales Director at CIM Group, where he led private wealth distribution of the non-traded REIT platform, Opportunity Zone Fund, and real estate credit strategy.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Villanova University and holds several FINRA securities licenses, including the Series 7 and 24.

John joined Landmark in 2024 as Managing Director – Portfolio Management. His primary responsibilities include forming and implementing portfolio strategies and overseeing asset management activities.

With over 17 years of real estate experience, John was previously a Director at Jamestown, LP, a global real estate investment and management company with approximately $12 billion in AUM. At Jamestown, he led fund and asset management teams focused on maximizing the value of mixed-use office, retail and multifamily projects across the country. He was responsible for dispositions and recapitalizations valued at more than $5 billion. Before Jamestown, John worked in analyst and associate roles at Jones Lang LaSalle and Goldman Sachs.

He graduated from Dartmouth College where he majored in Government and earned an MBA from the Wharton School where he majored in Real Estate and Finance.

John Patrick is a native of Santiago, Dominican Republic, where he grew up before moving to the U.S. to pursue a degree at The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. Upon graduating in 2016, he joined the Landmark team as a Development Analyst, where had an active role in the development of several Landmark properties with a combined development budget nearing $600 million, including The Mark at Atlanta, The Standard at Auburn, The Standard at Raleigh, The Station at Raleigh, The Station at Alafaya, and The Retreat at Denton, among others.

Following his time in Development, John transitioned into Landmark’s growing Investment Management team, where he had a broader role covering the due diligence and underwriting of acquisitions as well as various asset management functions. Shortly thereafter, John narrowed his focus into asset management and capital markets, where as an asset manager he oversaw a portfolio of over $2 billion in assets across the U.S. and led numerous recapitalizations, dispositions, and refinancings.

John currently holds a leadership role within our Asset Management department and is excited to continue to grow as part of the Landmark team. When he is not in the office, you will find him playing pickle ball, playing guitar, planning trips abroad, and occasionally salsa dancing around downtown Athens.

A native of Georgia, Mitchell grew up in Dalton before enrolling at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. Prior to graduating, he began his real estate career at HFF (now JLL) as an investment sales intern. Upon graduating in 2012, Mitchell worked as a product specialist at CoStar Group in Washington DC before taking a position with Cushman & Wakefield’s metropolitan New York capital market’s team as an investment sales analyst. While there, he coordinated over $300 million in commercial transactions.

Following his time at Cushman & Wakefield, Mitchell went on to become an asset manager for Onyx Equities, a value-add investment fund focusing on office, retail, and multifamily real estate throughout metro New York City. While at Onyx, he oversaw the business plan of repositioning suburban office investments as well as the development of multifamily projects. As an asset manager, Mitchell consistently maintained a portfolio in excess of $500 million and led numerous dispositions, recapitalizations, and refinancings.

Mitchell is excited to continue his real estate career in Athens and grow his expertise into the student housing market. When Mitchell is not in the office, you’ll find him training for his next Ironman, cooking, playing guitar, or planning his next trip abroad.

Joel Gregory joined Landmark Properties in 2010 and now serves as CFO for the company. After obtaining a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Georgia, Joel has worked in public accounting, founded a beverage distributorship where he was co-owner and CFO, assisted in the start-up of an IT company as V.P. of Finance, served as CFO of a commercial construction company and served as Controller as well as V.P. of Sales & Marketing of a mid-sized residential builder.
Joel has served on the board of a local Chamber of commerce as well as the board of directors for multiple builder associations.

Tyler joined Landmark Properties in 2015 as Vice President of Risk Management. He is responsible for overseeing the corporate insurance program and requirements for the Landmark family of companies. Previously Tyler worked for Equity Residential, in Chicago and before that The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, in Columbus, Ohio. Tyler has been in risk management for over 20 years.

Tyler holds a bachelor degree in Risk Management from The Ohio State University, a law degree from Capital University.

Tyler and his wife, Jenny, live in Statham with their dog, Maddie. They enjoy cheering for their favorite sports teams, Tyler The Ohio State Buckeyes and Jenny the Chicago Cubs and Bears.

Sheila heads up the accounting team at Landmark Properties. A native of Moultrie, Georgia, her family has been involved in construction and development there for many years. Sheila attended the University of Montevallo, and graduated with a degree in Music Education. She taught Choral Music in public schools for 10 years before entering the business world.

Prior to joining the Landmark team in 2008, Sheila worked productively as a cost accountant for several builders and developers in the North Georgia area. She began working with Landmark Properties as a contract worker until the principals decided they needed her expertise in-house, readily available to them and their investors. Sheila proactively works with property owners during their purchase and remains on a first-name basis with them once they start receiving their monthly disbursement checks. She is an active supporter of North Oconee High School, where her daughter, Mary Catherine, attends.

Joining the Construction Accounting Department in August of 2011, Susanne has served as an Account Manager, Divisional Controller for Development and recently changed roles to be the Director of Treasury Management. Her main responsibilities are to oversee and improve our bank relationships, processes, and controls across the Landmark platform.

Susanne, born and raised in Sweden, graduated with a degree in Economics/Accounting and moved to The United States and became a citizen. Susanne began her career in the collections department of a health insurance company in Connecticut and moved to Georgia in 1991 where she has many years of experience heading up the accounting department of a Swedish company in Norcross. In 2004 Susanne and her family moved to Athens where she accepted a position as Accounting Manager for a Residential/Commercial Builder and Property Manager.

Susanne resides with her husband Jeff, they have four children, grandchildren and in her spare time she plays with her horses or heads to the lake where they enjoy bass fishing.

Jennifer joined the Accounting team of Collegiate Construction in March of 2013. A graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Business Education, Jennifer brings better than 18 years experience to Collegiate. Her professional background includes Property Management, Accounting, Payroll, Human Resources and Project Accounting. She has served four terms as Treasurer of the Athens Apartment Association. A native of North Carolina, Jennifer moved to Athens from the Raleigh area in 1997. She lives in Watkinsville with her family.

Jamie joined Landmark in 2023 as a Divisional Controller. A 20 year resident of Marietta, Jamie began his career in public accounting, providing audit and risk management services to public and private companies primarily in the banking and construction industries. Later working for two separate Fortune 500 companies in risk management and real estate fund administration, Jamie brings a broad background of accounting experience to the team.

Jamie is active with Scouting BSA and enjoys golfing, camping and hiking with his wife and two boys

Chris joined Landmark in 2015 as General Counsel, where he oversees all legal matters, activities, and relationships.

Prior to joining Landmark, Chris practiced with McKenna Long & Aldridge, LLP and Baker & Hostetler, LLP. While at McKenna and Baker, Chris represented Landmark, major national banks, multi-campus health systems, private equity funds and other clients in a broad array of complex commercial real estate transactions. His experience includes acquisitions, financings (construction financing, REIT financing, conduit lending and loan assumptions and modifications), lease transactions, and dispositions.

Chris received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia. Chris is a member in good standing with the Georgia Bar.

Katie, born and raised in a small town in southwest Georgia, moved to Athens to become an official Georgia Bulldog in 2002. She first joined Landmark Properties in May 2006 as a leasing intern. After graduating from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 2006, with a degree in Real Estate, Katie was offered a full-time position as Sales Associate.

As a Sales Associate at Landmark, Katie was in charge of communicating with and assisting prospective buyers, as well as scheduling and coordinating closings. She acted as a liaison between Landmark and all investors by communicating with them on any upcoming projects. Katie was also especially active in the setup and maintenance of Landmark’s expansion into Columbia, South Carolina and Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

In 2017, Katie received a Masters in Information Technology from UGA after working several years on Landmark’s technology-related projects. She now serves as Landmark’s Vice President of Technology Services. In her current role, Katie handles all technology initiatives for Landmark including telecommunications, business intelligence and managing third party IT relationships. Katie lives in Athens with her husband, Harley, and their perfect six month old daughter, Ella.

Erin brings over a decade of experience in the construction industry, having worked in Troutman Sanders LLP’s construction section since 2009. While at Troutman Sanders, Erin’s practice focused primarily on the prosecution and defense of construction claims in court or before arbitration panels and the negotiation and drafting of construction contracts and associated documents. Erin has represented nationally and world-prominent construction clients, including owners, contractors and subcontractors, design professionals, architects, and material suppliers in matters involving high rise office buildings and apartments, utility and infrastructure construction, power plants, manufacturing and processing plants, and other complex projects.

Erin received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. She lives with her husband, Ryan, and daughter, Quinn, in Atlanta.

Amanda Henningsen received her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2013, where she was a member of the Editorial Board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law (2010-2013), a Dean’s Ambassador (2010-2013), Student Bar Association Representative (2010-2011) and Vice President of the Law Republicans (2012-2013). She received both her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, magna cum laude, and her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in English, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and the University of Georgia Competitive Cheerleading Team.

Prior to joining Landmark, Amanda practiced with Mahaffey Pickens Tucker, LLP, where she regularly represented clients in a wide variety of general corporate and commercial transactions. Amanda also focused her practice onrepresenting buyers, sellers and lenders in the acquisition, financing and disposition of commercial real estate, including retail, multi-family, office and industrial properties.

Jonathan serves as the Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Management Services for Landmark Properties. With 20 years of experience in student housing and college student services, He serves as the liaison for both new third-party clients and Landmark acquisitions as they join the Landmark-managed portfolio. He also provides coordination and oversight of Landmark’s consulting services. His experience includes numerous institutional-grade studies for clients which spanned operational assessment, market assessment, feasibility analysis, and due diligence for acquisitions.

Jonathan began his career in on-campus residence life, and then spent 8 years working in operations, consulting and business development roles with expanding responsibility at Campus Advantage, Inc. In 2014, Jonathan was the on-site project manager for a six-month engagement at Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia, coordinating efforts to launch or improve residence life, student services, dormitory management and campus branding. Before being promoted to grow business development and consulting efforts, He served as National Director of Residence Life, training student staff, transitioning new properties and developing management systems for operations. He currently oversees Landmark’s Residence Life and Customer Service platform.

Jonathan holds a M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. He completed his undergraduate studies in communication at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He’s an avid reader, cook, and Peloton rider. He resides in Austin, Texas along his wife Anna, a senior PR professional focused on the Technology sector and their two daughters Hollis and Willa.

Rob joined Landmark in fall of 2012 and serves as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Management Services, jointly overseeing the company’s property management division with a focus on marketing, leasing, and operational excellence. In this role, he leads company-wide communications and public relations, drives brand and marketing strategy across Landmark’s national property portfolio, and oversees the leasing and marketing teams responsible for performance across one of the largest purpose-built student housing portfolios in the country. Under his leadership, Landmark has stabilized over 50 new development lease-ups and the portfolio has grown from approximately 7,000 beds under management in 2012 to more than 74,000 beds today.

Prior to his time with Landmark, Rob began his career in student housing while an undergraduate at the University of Georgia, working within the University’s Residence Life department — an experience that gave him an early foundation in on-campus housing operations. He later joined American Campus Communities, where he progressed from on-site property operations in Athens, Georgia to Director of Strategic Marketing and, subsequently, Director of Digital Marketing, providing leasing and marketing support across the American Campus portfolio. Rob received a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Georgia. He is a former Chair and Executive Board Member of the Clarke County Mentor Program and remains an active mentor in the Athens community.

After overseeing the opening of Landmark’s first urban infill development in Athens GA, Daniel now serves as Director of Facilities for Landmark Properties. He ensures that the fundamental objectives of the facilities department are met, acts as administrator for Landmark capital improvement projects, and is also instrumental in the transition of sites from construction to operational status. Daniel has worked in the housing industry for over 18 years including a 7-year span with American Campus Communities. He holds a BS from the University of Georgia bringing a broad range of sought-after technical knowledge and skills with management experience to the Landmark team.

Becky serves as a Vice President of Management Services, with over 10 years of experience in student housing. She is responsible for providing support to the Regionals and Site management, facilitates the set-up for new projects, and ensures the proper functioning of day-to-day operations for the student-housing portfolio.

Becky began her career in student housing in 2007, as a Leasing Assistant with Landmark Properties. Becky has since risen up the ranks in varying roles both on site and at the corporate level.

Becky holds a BS from the University of Georgia. She resides in Athens with her husband Dustin and their dog Colston.

Sara has been in the property management industry for the past 14 years, with a 10-year focus in student housing. Prior to joining Landmark, Sara worked for Campus Crest Group in various position ranging from new construction General Manager to Regional Manager. Sara spent two years of her career working for regional 3rd party management companies implementing their student housing programs.

Sara holds a CAPs designation through NAA. She is skilled in student housing program development, marketing & leasing, operations and budgeting/financials. She has experience with new construction and renovation lease-ups, as well as managing stable and distressed properties. Sara has managed properties nationwide.

In 2008, Sara received her Bachelors of Science degree in Interior Design with a minor in Marketing from Ball State University, and subsequently in 2009 completed a Master’s of Arts in Residential Property Management. Sara resides in Fort Wayne, Indiana with her husband James and two sons Finn and Remington.

Vanessa Young joined the Landmark Team as a Leasing Ambassador at The Retreat Columbia in 2009. She loved living at The Retreat during her time as a student at The University of South Carolina, but loved working there even more, and quickly realized that student housing was the career path for her! Upon graduation, where she received a degree in Political Science with a minor in Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism Management, Vanessa accepted the role of Leasing and Marketing Manager. Even though she fell in love with The Retreat Columbia, and being in the midst of her fellow Gamecock nation, she decided to make the move to Corvallis, Oregon in 2014 to take on the role of Sales and Marketing Manager at The Retreat at Corvallis. After rounding out a full year in Corvallis, she was given the opportunity to take on her dream role as a traveling Leasing and Marketing Specialist for Landmark Properties in 2015. She was later promoted to the Regional Leasing and Marketing Manager position in the Fall of 2016, was promoted to a Regional Vice President of Leasing and Marketing in October of 2018 and is now the Vice President of Management Services. Vanessa brings nearly 12 years’ experience exclusively with Landmark. As a Vice President of Management Services, she will be responsible for ensuring her portfolio is optimally leased by leading an existing best-in-class group of individuals.

Vanessa and her husband Kevin now reside in Athens, GA with their son, Krew, and daughter, Palmer. Their two sweet dog children, Harlow the GSP and Birdie the Boykin Spaniel. In her spare time, she loves traveling with her family, watching SEC football, and trips to the coast.

Allison Juachon began her journey with Landmark in 2013 as a Community Ambassador in Orlando, Florida while attending the University of Central Florida. After graduating, she progressed through various on-site management roles. In 2021, Allison was promoted to Regional Director of Operations, overseeing Landmark’s South Florida portfolio. In 2025, she stepped into her current role as Associate Vice President of Centralization, where she leads the growth of Landmark’s centralized team.

In her spare time, Allison enjoys spending quality time with her husband Mike, their daughter Sloane, and their Pomeranian, Winston.

Nicole serves as the Associate Vice President of Consulting & Acquisition Services for Landmark Properties.

Nicole is principal author of third-party consulting studies and in charge of new consulting business. Nicole also assists in third-party business development efforts and providing on-site support for new communities entering the third-party managed portfolio, assisting site level staff in joining the Landmark team, and implementing Landmark’s best practices at the site. Nicole’s experience includes high quality studies for owners and clients which includes market assessments, feasibility analyses and due diligence for acquisitions.

Nicole’s experience in student housing began right out of college where she started out as a receptionist at Campus Advantage. Throughout the years, Nicole’s eagerness to learn and grow within the student housing industry lead to her joining the Consulting department as a Market Analyst where she assisted with market analysis and feasibility studies, due diligence reports and operational assessments. Most recently, Nicole worked at Coastal Ridge Real Estate as a Market Research Analyst where she was in charge of producing a complete due diligence report that provided information on the market, a full inspection and overview of the property, potential improvements, as well as a full analysis of the lease files.

Nicole graduated from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and two dogs.

Adam began his career in student housing during 2006 as a Community Assistant while attending The University of Tennessee. During his last semester at UT, he joined Landmark in 2010 as a CA for The Retreat at Knoxville. Upon receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Adam transitioned to a full-time position as The Retreat’s Leasing & Marketing Manager. Adam eventually moved to Operations Manager, then Community Manager at The Retreat.

Adam began working with new lease-ups during the fall of 2013 at Landmark’s first urban infill project, The Standard Athens. Since then, Adam has been the Sales & Marketing Manager for The Standard St. Louis, The Standard Knoxville, and The Mark Athens. Now based out of the corporate office in Athens, Adam continues to work with Landmark’s new construction projects as a Directory of Sales & Marketing.

While earning her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations at UGA, Rachael served as a Leasing Ambassador at Landmark’s Athens site for three years. Because of her communication skills and performance in the field, she was promoted to Marketing Assistant at Landmark’s corporate office while she completed her Masters in Journalism at UGA. She gained direct marketing and advertising experience in this role by supporting the Marketing Director and Marketing Coordinator with facilitating portfolio-wide marketing campaigns and providing individual support to site managers. After completing her Master’s program, Rachael joined Crawford Media Services as Marketing Coordinator, helping out with any marketing needs, advertising, event coordination, and client services for the company.

In January 2014, Rachael returned to Landmark Properties as Marketing Coordinator and, over time, moved up to Creative Director. As Creative Directorfor Landmark, she primarily handles all of the marketingneeds for new development and current operating sites. These needs range from logo design and new website development to marketing strategies and artwork implementation.

Rachael is excited to be in Athens and enjoys traveling, attending local music events, and spending time with friends and family in her free time.

Meredith joined Landmark Properties in the spring of 2016. She is responsible for all aspects of leasing and marketing for half of Landmark’s operational properties. She oversees a team of Regional Leasing and Marketing Managers, and together they are focused on ensuring the portfolio is optimally leased while generating maximum revenue. Before assuming her current role, Meredith served as a Marketing and Leasing Specialist and as a Regional Leasing and Marketing Manager for Landmark.

Prior to joining Landmark, Meredith was the Director of Leasing and Training at CA Ventures where she developed and implemented sales and leasing training for a portfolio of properties across the US and Canada. Before that, she was the Director of National Sales for Campus Living Villages. In addition to overseeing leasing and marketing efforts for a portfolio of sites, Meredith also spent an extended period of time in the United Kingdom conducting sales training at various student properties there.

Originally from Roswell, GA, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Psychology and Religion. She loves making pottery, participating in any water-related activities, and going on walks around Athens with her husband and two dogs, Nali and Addy.

Ioannis joined Landmark in 2025 as Managing Director, Development and Investment Operations for our European business. Ioannis’s responsibilities include growing our European Investment and Development platform, establishing Landmark as a leading player within the European market.

Prior to joining Landmark Ioannis was Chief Investment Officer of Vita Group, an integrated developer and property manager active across the living sector across the UK and Spain. Ioannis led the growth of that business into the multifamily and Spanish markets and was part of the executive leadership team.

Ioannis has graduated from Manchester Business School with an MSc in Management and Operations and from University of Warwick where he majored in Computer Science.
