Vice President

Jenell joined Landmark in 2023 as Vice President of Construction Operations where she will be responsible for bringing consistency across the projects while working directly with the teams to minimize risk. She brings with her over 15 years of experience in the building and construction industry, having been involved—preconstruction to closeout—in over 4,000,000 square feet of multifamily and hospitality projects across the U.S.

Prior to joining Landmark, Jenell was a Senior Director at AECOM Hunt and spent over 13 years with Lendlease. She has led overall project operations on an extensive portfolio of projects, where she ensured time and budget commitments to clients were achieved through coordination and day-to-day management of trades, cost control, and schedule management. Project highlights include 1333 and 1345 S Wabash (Chicago, IL), The Cooper Apartments (Chicago, IL), The NFL Hall of Fame Development (Canton, OH), Palomar Hotel and Residences (Chicago, IL), and Greenfields of Geneva (Chicago, IL).

Jenell attributes her success to open and transparent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and asking the hard questions. She encourages diversity of thought to innovate and evolve, preventing operational flows from becoming antiquated.

Jenell graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Bradley University. Career achievements include being honored as a 2023 ENR Midwest Top Young Pro. She believes in giving back to the communities in which she works and has volunteered her time to City of Hope, Girls in the Game, and the Bradley CEC Advisory Board.

She resides in the Chicagoland area with her husband, Paul, their two children, Greyson and Madelyn, and their dog, Franklin. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, live music, and watching her kids play sports.

Jonathan Bove

Executive Vice President, Management Services

Jonathan serves as the Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Management Services for Landmark Properties. With 20 years of experience in student housing and college student services, He serves as the liaison for both new third-party clients and Landmark acquisitions as they join the Landmark-managed portfolio. He also provides coordination and oversight of Landmark’s consulting services. His experience includes numerous institutional-grade studies for clients which spanned operational assessment, market assessment, feasibility analysis, and due diligence for acquisitions.

Jonathan began his career in on-campus residence life, and then spent 8 years working in operations, consulting and business development roles with expanding responsibility at Campus Advantage, Inc. In 2014, Jonathan was the on-site project manager for a six-month engagement at Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia, coordinating efforts to launch or improve residence life, student services, dormitory management and campus branding. Before being promoted to grow business development and consulting efforts, He served as National Director of Residence Life, training student staff, transitioning new properties and developing management systems for operations. He currently oversees Landmark’s Residence Life and Customer Service platform.

Jonathan holds a M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. He completed his undergraduate studies in communication at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He’s an avid reader, cook, and Peloton rider. He resides in Austin, Texas along his wife Anna, a senior PR professional focused on the Technology sector and their two daughters Hollis and Willa.

Executive Vice President, Management Services

Rob joined Landmark in fall of 2012 and serves as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Management Services, jointly overseeing the company’s property management division with a focus on marketing, leasing, and operational excellence. In this role, he leads company-wide communications and public relations, drives brand and marketing strategy across Landmark’s national property portfolio, and oversees the leasing and marketing teams responsible for performance across one of the largest purpose-built student housing portfolios in the country. Under his leadership, Landmark has stabilized over 50 new development lease-ups and the portfolio has grown from approximately 7,000 beds under management in 2012 to more than 74,000 beds today.

Prior to his time with Landmark, Rob began his career in student housing while an undergraduate at the University of Georgia, working within the University’s Residence Life department — an experience that gave him an early foundation in on-campus housing operations. He later joined American Campus Communities, where he progressed from on-site property operations in Athens, Georgia to Director of Strategic Marketing and, subsequently, Director of Digital Marketing, providing leasing and marketing support across the American Campus portfolio. Rob received a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Georgia. He is a former Chair and Executive Board Member of the Clarke County Mentor Program and remains an active mentor in the Athens community.

Senior Vice President, Management Services

Vanessa Young joined the Landmark Team as a Leasing Ambassador at The Retreat Columbia in 2009. She loved living at The Retreat during her time as a student at The University of South Carolina, but loved working there even more, and quickly realized that student housing was the career path for her! Upon graduation, where she received a degree in Political Science with a minor in Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism Management, Vanessa accepted the role of Leasing and Marketing Manager. Even though she fell in love with The Retreat Columbia, and being in the midst of her fellow Gamecock nation, she decided to make the move to Corvallis, Oregon in 2014 to take on the role of Sales and Marketing Manager at The Retreat at Corvallis. After rounding out a full year in Corvallis, she was given the opportunity to take on her dream role as a traveling Leasing and Marketing Specialist for Landmark Properties in 2015. She was later promoted to the Regional Leasing and Marketing Manager position in the Fall of 2016, was promoted to a Regional Vice President of Leasing and Marketing in October of 2018 and is now the Vice President of Management Services. Vanessa brings nearly 12 years’ experience exclusively with Landmark. As a Vice President of Management Services, she will be responsible for ensuring her portfolio is optimally leased by leading an existing best-in-class group of individuals.

Vanessa and her husband Kevin now reside in Athens, GA with their son, Krew, and daughter, Palmer. Their two sweet dog children, Harlow the GSP and Birdie the Boykin Spaniel. In her spare time, she loves traveling with her family, watching SEC football, and trips to the coast.

Associate Vice President, Acquisition Services

Nicole serves as the Associate Vice President of Consulting & Acquisition Services for Landmark Properties.

Nicole is principal author of third-party consulting studies and in charge of new consulting business. Nicole also assists in third-party business development efforts and providing on-site support for new communities entering the third-party managed portfolio, assisting site level staff in joining the Landmark team, and implementing Landmark’s best practices at the site. Nicole’s experience includes high quality studies for owners and clients which includes market assessments, feasibility analyses and due diligence for acquisitions.

Nicole’s experience in student housing began right out of college where she started out as a receptionist at Campus Advantage. Throughout the years, Nicole’s eagerness to learn and grow within the student housing industry lead to her joining the Consulting department as a Market Analyst where she assisted with market analysis and feasibility studies, due diligence reports and operational assessments. Most recently, Nicole worked at Coastal Ridge Real Estate as a Market Research Analyst where she was in charge of producing a complete due diligence report that provided information on the market, a full inspection and overview of the property, potential improvements, as well as a full analysis of the lease files.

Nicole graduated from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and two dogs.
