Two-Property Transaction Adds Nearly 1,300 Beds to Landmark’s Student Housing Portfolio
ATHENS, Ga. (February 2, 2026) – Landmark Properties, a fully-integrated real estate firm specializing in development, construction, investment management, and operation of high-quality residential communities, has expanded its presence in the Texas student housing market with the acquisition of The Bloc and Park East, two residential communities near Texas Tech University in the Lubbock neighborhood of Overton Park. The transaction will add 1,288 beds to Landmark’s portfolio. TSB Capital Advisors arranged financing on the transaction.
Both The Bloc and Park East offer residents a varied mix of floor plans to choose from with The Bloc offering three- and four-bedroom units, and Park East offering two- and four-bedroom plans. All units come fully furnished and wired for high-speed internet and cable, feature in-unit laundry, stainless steel appliances, and quartz countertops.

Built in 2017, The Bloc is a 10-building, mid-rise community at 707 Avenue T, just 0.6 miles from the Texas Tech campus. It offers residents 556 beds across 140 units. The Bloc is the only student housing community in Lubbock to have a rooftop amenity lounge, where residents can enjoy a resort-style pool, sundeck, cabanas, grilling areas, and firepits. Other property perks include a fitness center, computer and study lounge, a social gathering area, and a parking garage for up to 448 vehicles.
Park East, built in 2016, features 732 beds across 219 units. The two-building, mid-rise community at 1819 Glenna Goodacre Boulevard sits just 0.8 miles from the Texas Tech campus. Park East offers a 24-hour coffee bar, resident lounge, study rooms, and a fitness center. Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool, grilling areas, a firepit, bocce ball and sand volleyball courts, and a putting green. An onsite parking garage between the two buildings contains parking for up to 635 vehicles. The Citibus Route 45 stops at both The Bloc and Park East for quick transportation to campus and around town. The buildings are within walking distance to a number of dining, retail, and entertainment destinations along Glenna Goodacre Boulevard and Avenue Q.
